NESA has published clarified ACE Rules on the NSW Curriculum website. The clarified rules come into effect from 14 October 2024. Schools must not implement the clarified rules before this date. Schools must continue to use the ACE Rules on this website until 14 October 2024.

Students must be entered for all units of competency that will be delivered in the calendar year. All entered competencies require a Competency Outcome Status by the due date, which is published in the HSC key dates and exam timetables.
