NESA has published clarified ACE Rules on the NSW Curriculum website. The clarified rules come into effect from 14 October 2024. Schools must not implement the clarified rules before this date. Schools must continue to use the ACE Rules on this website until 14 October 2024.

Exclusions for VET HSC courses

Where there is significant overlap between a VET course and other VET, general education or Life Skills courses NESA has an exclusion between the courses. Exclusions are applied at a course stream or focus area level rather than at the unit of competency level.
